Miles is coming soon. This page describes the pricing it will launch with.
Miles costs $9.99 a month or $79.99 a year. That includes every feature and every export format. There is no free tier and no cap on drives.

How the trial works
Download the app and use every feature for 14 days. The trial is a StoreKit introductory offer on the subscription, so Apple handles it and you cancel it in your Apple account like any other subscription. When the trial ends, the subscription starts at the price you chose. Drives you recorded during the trial stay in your iCloud either way.
What happens if you stop paying
Tracking stops. The log does not. Every drive you recorded stays readable in the app, and every export keeps working, so you can still produce the report for a year you tracked. Subscribe again and tracking resumes.
Most trackers store your drives on their servers, so the subscription is what keeps your own log accessible. Miles stores the log in your iCloud, and your access to it does not depend on paying again.
Why a subscription
Miles has no server to pay for. The subscription pays for the app's development, which has a yearly cadence set by the tax authorities. The IRS announces rates every December and sometimes mid-year, as it did in July 2026. The Department of Finance announces the Canadian limits every January. Forms change. iOS changes every September. The subscription pays for keeping the rates, the forms, and the app current.
What is not included
- There are no paid tiers. Every subscription includes every feature.
- There is no team plan. Miles is for one person and their vehicles. Team dashboards and manager approval are left to other products.
- Tax filing, bookkeeping, and bank connections are not included. Miles produces the numbers and the records. Your tax software or your accountant files them.
Requirements
- An iPhone with iOS 26 or later
- An iCloud account, which the app uses to store and sync your log. Miles has no account of its own.
- The Always location permission and the Motion & Fitness permission, which automatic detection needs. Manual tracking works with the While Using permission.
